I taught high school math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, etc) in Ohio for 10 years and middle school math in Washington D.C. I’m Avery Washington, from Gaithersburg, Maryland. I am in the process of completing my senior year at the University of the District of Columbia as a vocal/music education major. I enjoy all types of music from different cultures and different genres. I play three main instruments. The piano, Drums, and I’ve studied the trumpet. I also have a passion for recording and producing music. I have played in multiple bands in the DMV area, I have conducted choirs and I sing in choirs across Maryland. In high school I was a Maryland Allstate tenor. I also had a chance to go to Utah and sing with Gladys Knight. When I’m not doing music I love to watch Marvel movies and play with my dogs Domino and Foxy.
