Our certified teachers and customizable curriculum empower each student to learn confidently at their own pace while meeting rigorous academic standards.
Students in Language Arts develop strong foundational and advanced skills in reading, writing*, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension. Instruction emphasizes both learning to read and reading to learn, with opportunities to build sentence structure and analytical thinking through engaging, interactive lessons. For students in grades K–3, curriculum packages include pacing guides and additional options for small-group reading instruction. Parents may choose to purchase the full-year Language Arts curriculum—primarily online for grades 4 and up and including live, teacher-led instruction for most courses.
Students in Mathematics engage in a dynamic learning experience that includes online video instruction with built-in self-scoring and progress analytics, allowing for immediate feedback and personalized pacing. Families may choose between independent study options or teacher-led instruction*, using our approved curriculum and online tools. For advanced learners, the self-paced Advanced Math Program provides opportunities to earn college credit while mastering higher-level math concepts.

Elementary students explore history through engaging book-based and project-based learning, allowing them to connect stories, cultures, and events in meaningful ways. As students transition into middle school, they can choose between self-paced or live instruction history courses*, designed to deepen their understanding of world, U.S., and cultural history through critical thinking and discussion.

Students in grades K–6/7 focus on building a strong foundation across the major branches of science through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. They explore the Physical, Life, Earth, and Space Sciences, while also investigating concepts in Engineering, Technology, and the Applications of Science. Each unit incorporates research and presentation opportunities that encourage curiosity, communication, and critical thinking. Students receive ongoing video support and assessments throughout the courses to ensure understanding and mastery of key concepts.
As students progress into upper middle and high school, they have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement (AP) * science courses and participate in dual-enrollment programs, with options for live teacher-led instruction to support college-level learning and academic advancement.

At RISE Hybrid Academy, we offer a wide array of individual foreign language classes available in small-group or one-to-one formats, as well as electives in music, art, and more. Students also have access to specialized writing courses designed to strengthen composition, grammar, and creative expression. These courses include access to individual writing coaches who provide direct support, feedback, and personalized guidance to help each student grow as a confident writer.
